Lambing looms

Well down here at Tyabb the paddocks are pretty wet, and we are ankle deep in green pasture, which is a great start to the milking season. The ewes are bagging up ready to lamb next week, especially our new Leddin maidens that have huge udders already. So we are making some final preparations to the facilities in the dairy and barn, ready for all the action.

Sheep humor

The humble ewe lends herself to all sorts of puns, usually excessively corny. Here is a site showing the world from a sheep's point of vewe (do sheep have a point of view? A sheep farmer once told me that sheep aren't worried about what dogs and humans are about to do to them - like shearing - they just always think they are about to be eaten alive.
