Venus Bay

'Venus Bay'is a sheep blue cheese new to the Red Hill Cheese range. Made from pure sheep milk from the Brandon Family farm at Moyarra in South Gippsland, each 2kg wheel captures the nutrients of rich, clean pastures. The name is drawn from a bay near the end of Andersons Inlet Road, where our farm is located. The wheels have a grey-white, crusty rind reminiscent of the coastal sea-spray, with a moderate spread of blue cavities. The mouthfeel is mild and creamy with a soft moist finish typical of sheep cheese. Serving: A distinctive table cheese that is also ideal in salads, crumbled over pasta, or served with fruit and nuts. Complemented by late harvest dessert wines.
